DC-3 Airways World Tour 2025 – Guidelines

  1. Aircraft Type: The tour centers around the iconic Douglas DC-3. During the tour, you must fly a Douglas DC-3. This can be any model or variation of the aircraft.
  2. Non-Competitive: The tour is not a competition. Flights are meant for enjoyment. However, we have a PIREP system to track your time and for you to compare it with other tour members.
  3. Challenging Flights: The tour offers a series of demanding yet enjoyable flights. Navigational skills and proficiency in handling the DC-3 are essential for successful completion.
  4. Language: English is the common language for all communications during the event, whether via email or forum posts.
  5. Behavior: Respectful conduct is crucial. No flaming, bad language, or inappropriate behavior. Our forum is monitored, and inappropriate posts will be removed.
  6. Member Conduct: The senior World Tour Staff reserves the right to remove anyone whose behavior detracts from others’ enjoyment.
  7. Flight Schedule: The tour comprises ten flights created by volunteers from DC-3 Airways. Each flight has a three-day time slot. While we encourage timely completion, flexibility allows pilots to fly the routes in any order.
    • PIREP Submission: Only one PIREP per flight is allowed. PIREPs must be posted within 5 days after the flight’s start date. For example, if a flight begins on October 1st, the last day to file a PIREP is October 5th.
  8. Screenshots: Feel free to share screenshots of your moments during the tour. Instructions for posting screenshots are available in the World Tour screenshots section of the forum.
  9. Multiplayer: If you prefer flying with others, join Multiplayer or VATSIM.

We hope you’ll join us for the DC-3 Virtual Airways World Tour 2025! If you have questions or need advice, post on the forum or email any of the World Tour Staff. Enjoy the adventure!
